Amy Schumer Says John Cena Was ‘Actually Inside Her’ During X-Rated Scene

In the 2015 comedy “Trainwreck,” Amy Schumer portrays a woman wary of commitment who becomes involved with Steven, a fitness-obsessed gym enthusiast played by John Cena. The film features a notably intimate scene between the two actors, which has been a topic of discussion due to its candidness and humor.

Reflecting on this scene, Schumer humorously remarked on Cena’s impressive physique, saying, “It’s a whole universe, that butt… it’s not even human. It felt like having a refrigerator on top of me.” She also jested about her own participation during the scene, commenting, “I think it was probably harder for him. He had to, like, do something. I just did what I usually do when I have sex—just lay there.”

Cena, on his part, has acknowledged the inherent awkwardness of filming such scenes. In a 2015 interview on “Conan,” he admitted, “It was awkward. And they wanted awkward, so we gave them awkward.” Years later, during an appearance on the “Club Shay Shay” podcast, Cena elaborated on the experience, praising Schumer for creating a comfortable environment but noting the lack of intimacy on set: “Amy is an angel, she made the environment so comfortable… There are so many people you need to make a movie. There is nothing intimate about it. Nothing. So it’s real embarrassing.”

Schumer responded to Cena’s reflections with her characteristic humor. Sharing a video on social media, she joked, “John, how dare you. That sex scene meant a lot to me, and I was, like, very into it. And I’m in love with you.”

The candidness of both actors regarding this scene offers a glimpse into the realities of filming intimate moments in cinema, highlighting the blend of professionalism and humor they brought to the set.
